Plans to expand the Orkney Brewery to create a new visitor centre, sampling room and jobs have been lodged.

Sinclair Breweries Ltd, which owns the Quoyloo premises in Sandwick, has lodged a planning application with Orkney Islands Council (OIC).
Work is expected to begin in the Spring of 2007 if plans are successful.
Norman Sinclair, of Sinclair Breweries, said: "The Orkney Brewery site has enormous potential as a tourist attraction."
Mr Sinclair explained: "We feel that a high quality, purpose-built centre would greatly enhance the overall experience of people visiting the brewery.
"In addition to telling the story of the Orkney Brewery and explaining the brewing process through guided tours and displays, the visitor centre will also stock local crafts and produce."
