COMIC CHAVS, WORLD CUP WAGS AND SEX-MAD MPS..THAT'S THE YEAR THAT WAS
IT WAS the year of Chantelle, gay cowboys and John Prescott's sex life.
It was the year our World Cup dreams were dashed again until the summer heatwave put a smile back on our faces. In 2006 we learned a whole new vocabulary - WAGs (footie wives and girlfriends), Catherine Tate's chavvy "Am I bovvered" schoolgirl Lauren, I'm A Celebrity David Gest's mythical maid Vaginika Seamen and killer poison Polonium 210. It was also the year we prayed for our brave men and women risking their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan.
