Forecasters are warning that severe weather is heading for Britain

Forecasters issued an early severe weather warning today as Britain prepared to plunge back into winter with heavy snowfalls predicted for some areas of the country.

Up to 15cm (six inches) of snow could fall in south and mid Wales tomorrow night and Thursday morning with up to five centimetres - around two inches - predicted for London and southern England on Thursday.

Southern England could see snowfalls of up to 10cm, or nearly four inches, in areas of high ground.

Aww - good luck with the winter weather! :eek: :wave: Today it was only -30 degrees of Celsius over here and everything seems to work normally. ::lol:: ;)

Mari, this part of the world grinds to a halt when the word SNOW is mentioned on the forcasts ::lol::

Having lived in northern Germany for many winters and worked in Norway when it was -35, I just laugh at the media reaction.

I know, I know. :angel: But it costs a lot to build the houses for the winter weather and keep the equipment ready to clear the snowy roads, airports and etc., too. And when the winter doesn't 'visit' that regularly than it visits over here - I do understand that it makes everything to stop because of snow for a while over there. ;)

But anyway - try to enjoy it as long as it lasts! :D :wave:
