MEET Charley Grimet - the girl who astounded her family by learning to read at just 16 months.

Charley started with simple words using a lift-the-flap word and picture book.

Now, almost a year on, the 21- month-old can recognise and say a jaw-dropping 50 words.

Mum Sharon, 31, said: "Something crazy has happened here. Her speech is amazing. She is like a five-year-old!"
