FLOOD victims are facing an outbreak of disease after their homes were swamped with raw sewage. Health workers in white body suits and masks were yesterday drafted in to decontaminate houses and businesses. They fear the town of Cockermouth, Cumbria, is in danger of cholera, typhoid, dysentery, leptospirosis (also called Weil’s disease) and hepatitis. DailyStar |
