| Post subject: | Norovirus cases soar as hospital outbreaks increase |
Officials have issued a health warning as norovirus outbreaks in hospitals have shot up 50 per cent in a month. The latest figures come as flu cases are starting to rise, including outbreaks in schools, and reports of swine flu in some areas. The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said the norovirus season was ‘well underway’ with 43 outbreaks in hospitals, of which 39 have led to ward closures. |
