Tia Sharp police arrest Stuart Hazell after manhunt

Police hunting the partner of the grandmother of missing school girl Tia Sharp have arrested him on suspicion of murder.

In a statement tonight, Scotland Yard said:
“
Tonight Stuart Hazell, aged 37, has been arrested by police on suspicion of murder. He was arrested in a public place at 20.25 in the borough of Merton after he was identified by a member of the public. He is currently in custody at a South London police station.
