BOYS yesterday outperformed girls at the top A-level grade for the first time — reversing the historic trend of lads doing worse at the exams. Eight per cent of boys scooped A*s — the highest possible mark — compared with 7.9 per cent of girls. The overall A-level pass rate — students getting A* to E grades — ROSE for the 30th consecutive year, from 97.8 to 98 per cent. TheSUN |
