is it any wonder that all these firms are going in to administration, you've got people ordering from amazon, people downloading music/ movies from the internet, the big firms just lose money

The internet is fantastic but I am of an age that I still like to shop on the high street, I want my evening/weekend newspapers in paper print as well. My partner and daughter on the other hand order everything on the net, after checking the item they want out in the shop.

It is unfortunate for al our high streets, Emily but it is the way it is going to go - when we see a shop like a local butcher/greengrocer in our area we should try and support them - no good crying about them closing down if we have not supported them, is there?

i'll admit, i've not used blockbuster for ages.

their was a time where i'd rent videos from it (yep, videos!) but now, since i can't really get out, i either order what i want to get from amazon, or i get the people supporting me to go out to hmv or what ever and buy it.... depends on what it is, is it's hard to find, i may as well order it.

you can't just send someone in to an hmv store and say... hey, do you have something that was out 15 20 years ago?

that's the good of amazon

i think the only store that i miss is woolworths, where we live we had a store and every day (yes, every day without fail) someone would buy me a pick and mix.. and it was awsome!

it was also good because it was the closest store we had to buy dvds and cds- our hmv was like 20 minits away or something

okay... rambling again
