Hollywood, CA - Once again, Oklahoma's own Carrie Underwood was in the top three performers this week as American Idol trimmed its competitors from five to four with Scott Savol getting the boot.
It appeared Savol thought he was safe from elimination when he was asked to join Anthony Fedorov on the couch. But, it was later revealed that those on the couch were those in the running for a ticket ride home.
Underwood, Bo Bice and Vonzell Solomon -- who judge Randy Jackson said deserved to remain in the competition -- were allowed to sit back and watch as Savol and Fedorov performed.
Savol was getting a lot of attention in the past week because of a website,
http://www.votefortheworst.com, that asked people to vote for the worst performer American Idol had to offer.
For Carrie Underwood, it was again clear that fans obviously love her. She is the lone contestant that has yet to be in peril of elimination.
The final four will again compete next Tuesday with one more Idol contestant being booted the following day. The winner of American Idol 4 will be announced on May 25th.
