AXED Maria Lawson knew Louis Walsh had given her the X Factor chop BEFORE singing her showdown number, she revealed last night.
As she prepared to perform her make-or-break song the judge WHISPERED to her: “I’m so sorry.”
And Maria told how she only learned full details of Walsh’s secret link with the Conway Sisters when she read yesterday’s Sun.
We told how the girls supported concerts by his boyband Westlife and played at singer Shane Filan’s wedding. Maria faced the Conways in a head-to-head to stay on the show on Saturday night — and had wowed viewers and judges with previous performances.
But she revealed: “I knew what was going to happen before I went out on stage. I knew I was going to go as Louis came to me just before I sang and whispered in my ear ‘I’m so sorry, I’m so, so sorry’.
