'if you work hard you reap the rewards and if I don't I'll get dropped,' said last year's X-Factor runner-up Andy Abraham.
'That's the reality of the record industry.'
'Reality' is a deformed word these days.
It's the word that rules TV-land and since the inception of the reality pop show it has spilled over into the charts too - reality TV pop stars are piling up.
'We were lucky to have so many talented performers and I don't know if there will be as many acts coming out of the X-Factor this year,' said Abraham, 42, of the series that also produced Shayne Ward, Chico and Journey South.
