X FACTOR fave Leona Lewis has made a big breakthrough in the US after landing a gig on a major chatshow.

Her mentor Simon Cowell boasted on Saturday’s ITV1 show that she would be a big star across the pond — but we can reveal she has already made it.

The stunning singer, 21, has been invited onto The Ellen DeGeneres Show — the US equivalent of The Paul O’Grady Show.

X-FACTOR favourite Leona Lewis has been struck down with tonsillitis and it's 50/50 if she'll be well enough for tomorrow's show.

The 21-year-old Londoner - the only girl left - is said to be devastated.

A show insider said she hasn't been able to sing all week and fears it will hit her chances of winning.

The source added: "We are all just begging it improves over the next 48 hours but at the moment she's 50/50 for Saturday."
