Ooh – Mee-ouch! Sharon Osbourne has totally slagged off fellow X Factor judge Dannii Minogue for her dire record sales and flirtatious behaviour with Simon Cowell. Never one to mince her words, Sharon told chat-show host Graham Norton that Dannii “Knows she’s there because of her looks, not because of her contribution to the music industry.” Adding fuel to the rumours of romance between Ms Minogue and Simon Cowell, Sharon quipped: “She’s younger. She’s better-looking. Simon wants her and he doesn’t want me… thank God!” Sharon also opens up about Niki’s departure on Saturday. “It was a travesty that she got the boot,” she says. “I felt she was what the show was about. She hasn’t really had a break in her life; she represents every working mum in the country, and they boot her off! And as for Rhydian – of course he’s going to win, but what do I know anymore?”

X Factor superbitch Sharon Osbourne last night admitted she and show rival Dannii Minogue were slugging it out like boxers.

And she could not resist launching another blistering attack, saying the sexy singer was only hired for her looks – not her talent.

Sharon, 55, admitted that she and Dannii, 35, had traded more punches than Ricky Hatton and Floyd Mayweather on the ITV1 show.

She said: “Dannii speaks about me and I speak about her. It’s like round one and round two. I think we are on round 10 by now.”

And Sharon bitched that Dannii had certainly not been hired by show chief Simon Cowell, 48, for her talent.

She tells BBC2’s Graham Norton Show tonight: “Dannii knows she’s there because of her looks, not because of her contribution to the music industry.

“She’s younger, she’s better-looking. Simon wants her and he doesn’t want me...thank God!”

But Dannii has had the last laugh on her rival. She has two acts in the final – Leon Jackson, 18, and Rhydian Roberts, 24. Sharon has none.

Asked how she felt about Sharon’s catty remarks, Dannii said: “I guess you put two women together on a show and people want to see a catfight!”

Cowell has also been dealt a blow – he has been laid up with flu. But he has vowed to be fit for Saturday’s show.

I've just seen the repeat of the Graham Norton show.

Graham was skillful, in the way he prepared the ground...and then Sharon let rip.

I guess her outburst was a bit unwise, a bit unfortunate, but when I saw it in context, it was extremely 'human'.

Whatever way you look at it (and I'm damned if I'm going to say what I think!), it was compelling television.
