Leona Lewis has described the Snow Patrol single Run as a song of “loss and hope”.

The X Factor winner turned superstar performed her stunning cover of the Snow Patrol hit on the ITV show on Saturday night.

Snow Patrol's Nathan Hasn't Heard Leona Lewis Cover Version

Snow Patrol guitarist Nathan Connolly has not heard the cover version of his band's song 'Run', as re-recorded by singer Leona Lewis.

Connolly says he won't give his opinion on the song as he may not enjoy it. "I still haven't heard it," Nathan tells ABC News. "Nothing against her, but I don't know if I'm going to endorse it either. It is what it is."

Leona's cover is included on a new deluxe reissue of her album 'Spirit' and will be released as a single on December 1. So far the song is proving popular in Ireland, where it topped the singles chart this week.

LEONA LEWIS’ cover of SNOW PATROL hit Run will now be released after her label bowed to Bizarre’s pressure.

Leona gave a spine-tingling rendition of the anthem on The X Factor a couple of Saturdays ago.

But bigwigs then shelved plans to put it out. Fans were furious at the decision and Leona’s management weren’t best pleased either.
