Children with an aggressive form of cancer will be given a new treatment in Britain for the first time, thanks to X Factor cash.
Youngsters suffering from neuroblastoma have usually got to go to the US to receive revolutionary immunotherapy.
But Cancer Research UK yesterday announced it would fund a clinical trial for the treatment, which encourages the body to hunt down cancer and fight the killer disease.
Simon Cowell said: "I am delighted that the money raised from this year's X Factor charity single is helping to fund pioneering research like this."
