Telly host Dermot O'Leary is poised to sign a six-figure deal to host the American version of The X Factor.

The 36-year-old will meet top TV execs in Los Angeles next month to thrash out his contract.

The deal would see him present both the UK and US versions of Simon Cowell's mega-hit show - and make him one of our highest paid presenters.
