On April 22, 2012, Fox televised "Fox's 25th Anniversary Special," a two-hour retrospective of progams that have made a big impact on Fox in the network's first 25 years. The special featured many past and present Fox stars commenting on their shows in new interviews, but "The X Factor" U.S. executive producer/judge Simon Cowell (who is also a former "American Idol" judge) wasn't one of those people. Fox is the U.S. TV network for "American Idol" and "The X Factor" U.S.
