Vendetta 'is taking over X Factor'

The second act to be kicked out of ITV's X Factor show said the contest has become a personal vendetta between judges Louis Walsh and Simon Cowell.

Boy band 4Tune were booted off the show after a nail-biting finish which pitted them against solo singer Chenai.

After Cowell chose to save his act 4Tune from elimination, Walsh picked his singer Chenai, leaving Sharon Osbourne to decide their fate.

"What do I do, break one person's heart or four people's hearts," she said before opting for Chenai, who had been in her group on last year's show.

The boys - Anthony Hannides, 18, his brother Mike 21, Phil Kemish, 18 and Simon Bitsaides, 22, all from Southampton - were devastated to be out so early.

Anthony said: "I felt it was personal rather than about our performance." Brother Mike agreed. "It seems it's not based on talent this year," he said. "It's based on the judges."

They said they felt Walsh was "out to get" Cowell. Phil added: "It feels like a personal vendetta."

But the band were cheered up by a phone call from former Pop Idol losers Liberty X, who went on to be reality television's most successful group. "They said 'don't give up', which was really nice."

Now the band would like to see binman Andy Abraham go onto win the show. And after two years of giving X Factor a go, the boys say they have had enough of reality television.

Cowell was said to have taken the decision badly, leaving for home immediately after the show ended. He now has just two acts left in the competition compared to four each for Louis and Sharon.dailysnack

Is anyone else sick of hearing how 'nervous' he is every fecking week?

I certainly am. It's like Louis is making it worse for him, by drawing attention to it. Loved Simon's comment to Louis: I'd be nervous if you were in my dressing room!! ::lol:: ::lol:: ::lol::

Maria is a great performer, I agree. But I also loved Shayne. I think he has something special about him. I thought so from the first time I saw him. The fact that he can sing too is an added bonus.

YOU GIVE LUMMOX LOUIS WHAT 4

LOUIS Walsh's antics in getting 4Tune axed were blasted by Daily Mirror readers who contacted our Judge the Judges hotline.

Nicola Brereton said: "He needs a personality transplant. He lost all dignity by childishly chanting Chenai's name. Get a life, little man." Damon Ford fumed: "Louis Walsh loses credibility with every show he appears in. He always makes decisions he knows will annoy Simon, regardless of whether it's the right decision or not."

Barbara Luscomb added: "Mr Walsh is a waste of time and should be replaced. Simon's honest and straight to the point."

Ian Clarke said: "Louis showed himself up. He looked like a big kid wanted to get his own way."

Paula Middleton demanded: "What the hell was X Factor about? 4tune were by far the most talented act on the show and have the most potential."

Barbara Hunter said: "My family and I were stunned by Sharon's decision. Her judgment was based on misplaced guilt."

I thought it was hilarious (if perhaps a teensy bit contrived) that Simon didn't know the names of the four lads in the group.

Simon Cowell has now lost two of his groups in two week, as a result Hills make Cowell their 9/2 outsiders to be the winning manager. It is a spectacular fall from grace having started as Hills even money favourite in the market. Hills spokesman Rupert Adams said, "Simon has lost two and to be honest we don't rate the remaining two very highly. Its Simon's show but we think he will get a real shock as he is almost certain to finish stone last."
In the outright betting it looks very much like a four horse race between Shayne 6/4, Andy 11/4, Maria 9/2 and Journey South who are priced at 11/2. Unsurprisingly Chico remains the 50/1 outsider.

Louis: I'll vote Phillip off

By SIMON ROTHSTEIN
Sun Onine

X FACTOR judge Louis Walsh has sensationally revealed he could vote one of his own acts off the reality show.

The former Boyzone manager thought Phillip Magee’s performance this week was bad and told us: “If he doesn’t improve on Saturday I’m going to vote him out myself.

“He’s not listening – and if they don’t listen they go the old Ronan Keating route.

“I’m going to let Phillip do rock ‘n’ roll on Saturday, like he wants, so we’ll see how he does.

MR NASTY BRAGS OF A VICTORY
By Fiona Cummins Showbiz Reporter

DEFIANT Simon Cowell has insisted he can still win X Factor - even though he has already lost two of his acts.

TV's Mr Nasty believes his band Journey South have got what it takes to make it all the way.

Cowell also claimed he was not a victim of tactical voting by Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh.

He admitted he was disappointed that Addictiv Ladies and 4Tune were sent home but stressed it is the public who choose the poorest performers.

He said: "If anyone was going to be complaining it should be me but I'm not complaining.

"I was disappointed at 4Tune because they didn't deserve to go but everyone forgets it's the public who put the acts in the bottom two."

Cowell also revealed a new rule will be introduced following last week's debacle when 4Tune were dumped by Sharon to keep singer Chenai in the contest after pressure from Louis.

Didn't think Shayne was up to much this week...and I've just returned from the bathroom after Sharon's comment....was wondering if she had a gerbil for him?

Chico....usual stuff...

I couldn't think of anything to say about Chenai...so I guess she left me speechless..

Andy can sing... :D.....really well!

Of course, I'm hoping Journey South do well...their choice of music, The Eagles and U2....right up my cul-de-sac.. :D - but I'm a little concerned for them....

Nicholas...a bit of a non-entity this week.

Maria - masterful performance..
