I knew that as soon as Sam was in the bottom 2, he would be gone, no matter who he was up against. He needn't even have bothered to do a good sing off, as it was obviously going to be him gone.
Gary has always liked Luke from Day 1 & disliked Sam, so he was obviously going to boot Sam. It was obvious that Louis would abstain from voting. Nicole often sides with Gary & I knew that she would send Sam home. Louis did say that Sam had been the hardest working contestant he had ever worked with though & Gary even praised him once he knew he had been successful in getting rid of him.
I think the Final 3 will possibly be Rough Copy, Sam Bailey & Nicholas. I think Rough Copy & Sam Bailey are good. Nicholas has a nice voice but he just doesn't seem to have the X Factor for me & plays it too safe, with safe songs & doesn't seem to make them his own, as does Tamera. Nicholas hasn't got a lot of go in him - just stands there & sings.
It certainly seems as though the audience are very influenced by what Gary says. I sometimes agree with him & sometimes don't, but I make up my own mind. I usually make my comments before the judges do & quite often, one of them will say the same as I do.
Sam may not have been the greatest singer, but has lots of talent, being a songwriter, singer, plays 4 instruments & could also dance. He also has a mature head on him & is a hard worker, so I hope he will go far.
