they're as different as honey and jam.
Michelle will always get work in Brian Potter-type
night-spots and on cruise ships.
Alex will struggle to do that. :-?

DOES the success of Pop Idol's Michelle McManus mean that we are finally ready for our pop stars to be great big fat things?

It would be nice to see Michelle's victory as a sign of the new tolerance. A gay guy won Pop Idol last year. A lesbian won Fame Academy this year. A male cabin steward has won Big Brother.

But I am not sure Michelle is really in the same category.

Nobody can do anything about their sexual orientation. We can all do something about our weight.

Agree with you. Michelle deserved to win and I wish her well. Fantastic voice, great range, great emotion .....

Michelle has an average voice, and a dire image/personna. Alex Parks, was the best of a bad bunch in FA2. Consider the alternative, Alistair? A bland ballad writer, with less edge in his voice then Sneddon, and less presence then a snail on dope. The likes of Alistair are a drain on the music industry, and don't provoke any thoughts at all, I can't even say I dislike him or his music, he/it just isn't that provoking.

Alex, if marketed well and allowed to devolop *could* be the next Annie Lennox.

According to the Bitches at the Mirror Newspaper; Andy and Michelle have got engaged.
What should be a very special time for both of them, may be spoiled by the Bitches, because they think they are doing their job by informing the reader how much they assume Andy has paid for the engagement ring.

Drove into London today and there was posters of Michelle on all the lamp posts [tacky or what]

She has a karaoke voice and a working club style :eek: Very best wishes to her, but I wouldn't buy anything.

michelle has not got a fantastic voice it is very average and belongs on a cruise liner.
