One of the problems facing X Factor is
that despite pretty much everyone knowing
that much of the talent show is a cynical
set-up, no-one wants to feel they're
being manipulated.

One of the groups - GMD3 - seems to have
been put together with the help of Jayne
Collins, and Maximum Artist Management,
the people who put together The Saturdays
and The Wanted.

Should the show be the launch-pad for
the latest group manufactured from Sylvia
Young's school? A band that - it is
suggested - didn't have to pre-audition
but went straight to TV (and no doubt
into the final 12). A band that already
seems to have someone paying their bills.
And who had slick videos up on youtube
over two years ago.

Quite frankly we prefer svengali
Jayne's own attempts at being a pop
star, 20 years ago.
