Comedienne Jenny Eclair has been voted off the BBC's Comic Relief Does Fame Academy show.
During last night's programme, Radio 1 DJ Edith Bowman curried favour with the Lulu classic Shout, Adrian Edmondson gave it his best shot with A Little Less Conversation and Blue Peter's Konnie Huq gave a rendition of the Atomic Kittens hit Whole Again.

The 11 remaining celebrities to go into the Academy are: Monarch of the Glen's Dawn Steele, ex Casualty doctor Christopher Colquhoun, impressionist Jon Culshaw, EastEnder Kim Medcalf, Coronation Street star Debra Stephenson, TV Presenter Nick Knowles, TOTP host Reggie Yates, and comic Gina Yashere.

The series will continue nightly until Red Nose Day Friday, on March 11.

Al Murray was the first celebrity to be voted out of the BBC1 show hosted by Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty, in aid of Comic Relief.

Tap-dancing Jenny booted out of Academy Jenny Eclair has been evicted from Celebrity Fame Academy. Her energetic performance of All That Jazz - complete with a tap dancing routine - failed to impress the voting public. Before taking to the stage, the stand-up comic had said: "I'm going for the gay vote and the old ladies, but they can only vote once on their pensions." Nine celebrities were saved by the viewers at home, leaving Jenny, Chris Colquhoun and Reggie Yates to face the judges' selection, reports the official BBC website. They chose to save Casualty star Chris. The 10 students already through to the next round then had to decide which of the pair to keep in the Academy with them. Jenny pleaded with them not to vote for her, claiming she was due on stage having secured a role in Chicago! And her wish was granted - but only just.
