Huq leaves the stars' Fame Academy Blue Peter presenter Konnie Huq became the third student to be voted off Celebrity Fame Academy. The 29-year-old TV presenter said she was glad to be coming out as she left the show and admitted that she was not a great singer. "I can't sing let's face it. I just think I am really nervous I don't know why. I can do it in a room but when I get out there and see all the faces I just go to pieces," she said. She added the whole experience had been "nerve-wracking" and urged Blue Peter viewers to carry on voting despite her exit from the show. In the first vote since the students moved into the academy house Konnie became the third of 13 celebrities to be voted off the BBC show. Casualty star Christopher Colquhoun also faced eviction following the public vote but was saved by his fellow contestants who picked him to remain in the competition. Comedian Jenny Eclair was expelled after losing out to Top Of The Pops presenter Reggie Yates. The other students in the two-week charity show for Red Nose Day include EastEnders actress Kim Medcalf (Sam Hunter), actor Adrian Edmondson (Vyvyan in The Young Ones), Coronation Street actress Debra Stephenson (Frankie Baldwin) and Radio 1 DJ Edith Bowman. Other names in the line-up include Monarch Of The Glen actress Dawn Steele, DIY SOS host Nick Knowles and comedian Gina Yashere. The nightly expulsions will continue until the March 11 final on Red Nose Day. yahoo |

she had the "least natural talent", of the lot of them. ...but she gave it a go and got into the spirit of things, without taking it all tooooo seriously, and seeing it as a career move. Like certain ex-Eastender's actresses, with Stage-school backgrounds, who are trying to forge another career, on the back of it. |

Huq off, could be an uncharitable thing to say

Well i'm pretty sure its Richard Bacon, the bloke who presented Back to Reality, and was sacked from BP for cocaine-use, can't stand the bloke. |

He's taking over from Neil Fox on Capital Radio's drivetime show. It's ok though as you don't get that in your neck of the woods |

Yes Bacon was, coz he only realised the media-view, of reality-tv, ironic!! Car-crash TV!! In reality though the big viewers are churned up by having nice-ones and bad-ones clash, and hopefully the good ones prevailing BTR was totally built on the grotesques and bombed accordingly I loved John Lydon on "celebrity" but the viewing figures went uphill after he left, even with the dullness left!! Each pop idol-type thing on ITV, we are told its best when the crap performers are there at the beginning and yet the ratings are opposite This was also why Angus Deayton, was a disaster as presenter of Hells Kitchen |
