Kim is hot favourite to win Fame Academy Bookies have slashed the odds of Kim Medcalf winning Celebrity Fame Academy from 7/4 to 8/11. A spokesman for William Hills said: "It is the first time that we have had an odds-on shot since this series began. "We think punters are backing her because she is the least likely to have a one-off shocking performance, which at this stage would be curtains." Vegas backs Edith to win Fame Academy Johnny Vegas has joined Chris Evans in backing Edith Bowman to win Fame Academy. The comedian has bet £100 on the Radio One DJ at odds of 5/1, according to Ladbrokes. Evans gambled the same amount at the start of the contest - when her odds were 16/1. Johnny said: "Edith has my full support. She's a lovely girl, I bet £100 on her." Ladbrokes spokesman Warren Lush said: "If Edith wins we'll have to pay out a five figure sum but the winnings from the bets by Chris Evans and Johnny Vegas will go to Comic Relief." EastEnders star Kim Medcalf is the bookies' odds-on favourite to win - her odds have been slashed to 1/2 from evens. Mr Lush added: "Kim is definitely the one to beat - we've always been sweet on her chances and she improves with every performance. In our eyes the only people that can beat her are Edith and Ade."
