----------------------- Still in it: The Brothers FK0335-B
X Factor hopefuls
The Brothers were convinced they were on their way out of the TV talent show after Simon Cowell slated their dancing ability.
The four-piece boy band were all doom and gloom after the first day of the boot camp stage of the hit ITV1 show, screened on Saturday, after failing to impress TV's Mr Nasty. But despite the criticism the band have made it through to the final 21 acts.
Twins Adam and CJ Neroni, from Crystal Palace, and brothers Noel and Marc Agyei, who live in Brighton, were the talk of the first round of auditions after impressing all three judges with their rendition of the Boyz II Men track Yesterday.
But Adam says performing on day one of the boot camp did not go according to plan. "After the first day at boot camp we were sure we wouldn't get through because Simon told us he was disappointed with the way we performed, particularly with our dancing.
"He wasn't critical of our voices but said we should have stuck with the harmonies we showed during the first audition."
Adam admits Simon's criticism knocked the band's confidence but in hindsight he says it is a blessing. "We felt some of the things he said to us were harsh but he has never said anything about our singing, which is positive. But it certainly was a wake up call for us."
The Brothers have been assigned music mogul Cowell as their judge for the remainder of the programme.
"We are happy having Simon as our judge, he is the most popular out of the three," said Adam.
"We are amazed that we are still in it. We are living our dreams and enjoying every minute of it."
