The show started tonight and I have to say I think it will be very hard to pick a winner because they are all good.

But Chico has to go surely. He is so awful and thinks he is God's gift.

Part of me wants him to stay and part of me wants him to go. The longer he stays in, the more disappointed he will be not to win.

I cannot believe that Chico is still in it!!!!

Louis only got rid of Addictiv Ladies to get at Simon, I'm sure.

Yea, but Addictive ladies where dreadful ... simon gave them an awful song, made the weakest singer lead in a pitch below her best and on top of that made them move ... they do have a rawness that could have been interesting to watch develope over the weeks

But I agree Walsh didnt make his choice out of talent. just another cynical nasty action against Cowel causeing the talentless Chico to stay in

IMO Simon hasnt a clue concerning the groups..

Is it me or is the contestant Nicolas not Paris from Fame Academy, he looks so much likehim

X Factor ratings beat BBC rival

Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh judge The X Factor
The X Factor has beaten rival TV talent show Strictly Come Dancing by drawing an average of 7.5 million viewers.

The ITV1 show beat BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing, which drew an average of seven million viewers to the first episode of its new series on Saturday.

Girl group Addictiv Ladies were the first act to be voted off The X Factor.

My Family actress Siobhan Hayes was voted off Strictly Come Dancing, which also features DJ Zoe Ball and snooker player Dennis Taylor among others.

'Not ready'

TV presenters Fiona Phillips and Gloria Hunniford, journalist Bill Turnbull and ex-EastEnders star Patsy Palmer also compete in the BBC dance series.

Now in its second series, The X Factor pitted east London group Addictiv Ladies against singer Chico, a former stripper who sang Rod Stewart's 1978 hit Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?

Judge Louis Walsh cast the deciding vote against Addictiv Ladies, saying they "were really good fun but not ready for the big time".

The X Factor topped the ratings in its Saturday evening timeslot, watched by 38.5% of the available TV audience.

Last year's Strictly Come Dancing final attracted 10.6 million viewers, nearly one million more than The X Factor.

They are all pretty s**t!

I just watch it to hear Louis and Simon cat fighting. Chico is especially annoying though. Louis picked oldish songs, but only because he knows who the core audience (who will vote is) middle aged women. This is proven by... Steve Brookstein.

Poor Simon doesn't have much to work with the boys seem particularly bland.

Nowadays I tend to give up on these programmes after the funny ones - ones that Louis Walsh is in especially.

I thought that Chico should never actually have gotten through the very first audition so to hear that Louis put him through on Saturday night was an absolute joke and would so have been just to spite Simon. Last year it got about the judges just bickering at each other all time time, it was ridiculous.
