ITV 10.08PM, Sat Oct 15 2005 Chico booked his place in the final of the X Factor by busting his moves to vanquish the Addictiv Ladies. Girl group Addictiv Ladies became the first act to be voted off ITV's new series of The X Factor. The foursome were up against former stripper Chico for the final place in next week's live show but their rendition of Jamelia's song Superstar was not good enough to save them. Judge Louis Walsh was forced to cast the deciding vote after Sharon Osbourne backed Chico, who sang Rod Stewart's If You Think I'm Sexy, and Simon Cowell backed the girl group. Walsh had said earlier in the show that Addictiv Ladies "were really good fun but not ready for the big time". They were "amateurish" and needed more vocal coaching, he said. Chico on the other hand "owned the stage" and was "born to boogie". Despite not having the best voice, the 34-year-old was a great dancer, the judge said. Addictiv Ladies are Fleur East, 17, Nicola Owusu-Akontoh, 16, Stephanie Yamson, 17 and Vivienne Umeh, 17. They are all from Walthamstow in east London.

CHICO SURVIVES 'CHIPPENDALE' JIBE BY SIMON CHICO Slimani survived the first X Factor eviction last night - even though judge Simon Cowell said watching him was "like being at a Chippendale concert". The ex-porn star and male stripper won a sing-off against Addictiv Ladies after Louis Walsh used his casting vote. Chico - exposed in last week's People as a sex addict who had countless romps with girl fans - sang Rod Stewart's Do Ya Think I'm Sexy? on the show Earlier, after he thrust his pelvis on stage, threw off his garish red jacket and bared his toned stomach, Simon said: "You're a nice guy, Chico. But what the hell was that?" Chico replied: "You wouldn't know a superstar if it hit you on the nose." Louis also said Chico, 34, didn't have a strong voice before saving him.
