Saturday 5 November 2005 Chenai makes a pop at the older girls It’s catfights-a-go-go! Tempers are flaring backstage at The X Factor as tensions mount over the coveted final place. Tearful “I can’t speak without bawling” Chenai Zinyuku has reportedly started a spat with the other two remaining female contenders because (shock, horror) they are older than her. Yes, Chenai, 19, seems to think that the older you are, the more time you’ve had to practise your singing. Which means, of course, that 36-year-old Brenda Edwards and 30-year-old Maria Lawson clearly have an unfair advantage over the pouting performer. It all started when Simon Cowell insisted Chenai’s performance was below par, labelling her the weakest singer of the three women. Chenai quickly snapped back: “Well, they are 15 years older than me,” and then the fur really began to fly! Brenda heard the comment and “flipped”, according to insiders. She told Chenai: “Listen darling, age has got nothing to do with this contest. This show is about whether or not you can sing.” Spontaneously bursting into tears, Chenai reportedly snivelled: “You’re obviously sensitive about your age then,” before the pair started screeching at each other like cats. Show producers had to put Chenai out in the garden to calm down. From Wanadoo |

They weren't very inspiring, were they? Poor song choices mostly, I think. The right person went, though. I'm starting to worry that Chico will win - I just knew that failing to oust him in the first week would lead to him being around for a long time. |

Chanai, Sharon and ChicoWe’ve grown accustomed to reading headlines about the X Factor judges being at war with one another – but now it appears the contestants are at loggerheads, too. This week’s unlucky evictee Chenai Zinyuku has revealed that the battle to out-sing one another on Saturday nights has now spilled over into the remaining wannabes’ private lives. And it doesn’t really help that they’re all living in a house together. Chenai claims that she was “frozen out” by Sharon Osbourne’s protégées, Brenda Edwards and Maria Lawson - following an argument over whether age made a difference to their chances of success. However, judge Simon Cowell is apparently pleased that the stars are falling out. “I want these people to be at each others’ throats because that’s what it’s like in real life,” he says. “I don’t want a bunch of pussycats being nice to each other.” And just to demonstrate how the whole “celebrity feud” thing is done, good old Sharon has launched a blistering war of words on reigning Queen of Pop Madonna. “One day you’re in ****ing gun gear, then you’re in horsing gear, then you dress like a hooker, then you’re in a flowery dress reading kids’ poetry looking like a ****ing librarian – then you’re back looking like an old hooker again.” Over to you, Madge… Finally, just to add to the twitchy atmosphere in the X Factor house… it appears that a bunch of Chico fans have discovered the London hideaway and are besieging the 34-year-old ex-stripper with X-rated letters, naughty photos and silky lingerie. Yes, really. Ladies and gentlemen, we’re living in a very strange and worrying world… wanadoo |

Do any of those judges know what they are talking about they are constantly contradicting themselves. So simon wants them to be at loggerheads and him the mentor of the last Xfactor winner that they call a flop a failure etc because he stood up to him and refused to do more covers bah humbug. My comiserations to this years winner a year or two of covers and then obsureity. Best if they lost towards the end and did their own thing .
