Ananova X Factor bosses will be wishing they could hire old Sherlock Holmes in a bid to help them solve a mysterious four-letter jibe. During the latest show, millions of eagle-eared viewers heard the Conway Sisters being rudely slated as they were evicted. According to The Sun, a mic in the TV studio picked up a male voice muttering: "About f****** time" when it was announced they'd been dumped from the competition. The comment was made off camera, but no one knows who the culprit is. It could have been Simon Cowell, although he was their mentor, or Louis Walsh, although he controversially saved the girls in a previous show, or it could have been Chico, who had just been spared the axe, although he's been romantically linked with one of the sisters. But show bosses say the cheeky comment might have come from a member of the audience: "It could have been one of the people sat near the mic," a spokesman for the show revealed. At the time of the utterance, both Louis and Simon were out of shot and Chico had his back to the audience and camera - so maybe they'll never know. |
