X FACTOR star Shayne Ward admires his latest trophy - a pair of grubby grey Y-fronts tossed to him by an admirer. The 21-year-old, straight in at No. 2 in the charts with No Promises, was playing at G.A.Y in London on Saturday night when the smalls sailed on to the stage.

One fan at the Astoria club tells us: "The crowd were going crazy, grabbing at him and trying to get up and sing with him.

"He seemed quite chuffed when the pants appeared. It's not something you see every day - someone must have had a nippy ride home.

"They were Calvin Klein too so probably cost a few quid."

Shame he de-Kleined to try them on.

X Factor star Shayne's romantic dream

OVERNIGHT sex symbol Shayne Ward admits it is a struggle to keep his long-term love going with babes throwing themselves at him at every turn.

Back home in Manchester's Albert Square for a free gig with 15,000 fans yesterday, the That's My Goal singer tells our Kiki how his life has changed. But there's one thing he wants to keep the same.

And that's his relationship with performing arts student and waitress Faye McKeever, 20.

Shayne says: "I know what the business will be like, temptations and women - but I'm only interested in Faye. I'm going to fight for this because I really believe in us. Faye's been there from the start.

"It is difficult - and I know keeping up a long-distance relationship is going to be very hard - but I'm always on the other end of the phone. If I just set out to be famous then I don't think we'd last but she knows what I'm doing and she respects it."

Just three days after the release of his debut album, Shayne Ward is set to storm straight in at No 1.

The album has already sold 96,000 - more than the other top 15 albums combined. Looks like he's achieving his goal.

EVEN the king and queen of celebrity Posh and Becks can't do anything to halt the unstoppable force that is Shayne Ward.

We can reveal that David and Victoria Beckham's Madame Tussauds waxwork figures are being moved to make way for The X Factor winner - who had a hit with That's My Goal.

The 21-year-old Manchester hunk's wax double will replace the former Spice Girl and the England captain in the VIP Blush room next month.

The couple, who are being "rested", donated the stunning white Dolce and Gabbana outfits they wore to the 2003 MTV Awards in Los Angeles, while Shayne is believed to have loaned Tussauds the suit he was wearing when he stormed to victory on the reality talent show last year.

Says an insider: "This is a real first as no other reality-show winners have been immor talised this way.

"Shayne was the perfect model and is bound to get a lot of attention when he's unveiled in May. David and Victoria have been in Tussauds for years so a little rest won't do them any harm."

The news rounds off a fantastic week for Shayne whose self-titled debut album has already sold 150,000 copies and is outselling the entire top 15 put together.

Yesterday a spokesperson for Tussauds said: "Victoria and David are being moved. Figures are moved and rearranged all the time."

HIRED FRAN COSGRAVE AS A BODYGUARD

X - FACTOR winner SHAYNE WARD has hired FRAN COSGRAVE as a bodyguard - to help keep girl fans at bay.

The heart-throb singer, 21, can't go anywhere now without getting mobbed.

So he's signed up the I'm A Celebrity star - who, newly single and with his reputation as a ladies' man - won't be complaining at the extra female attention!

Hardman Fran told us: "I'm looking after Shayne now."

Protecting stars from screaming girls is nothing new for the Irish hunk, 27. After all, he used to look after WESTLIFE.

And it was clear how much he was needed as a bodyguard on Thursday. Shayne, who won X Factor in December and is No1 in this week's album chart, arrived late with Fran at London's Chinawhite.


One clubber said: "It was around 2am and they caused a real stir in the VIP area.


"Shayne was mobbed by girls, including a woman and her two daughters."


Luckily, Fran made sure noone got too close. And he'll be at hand from now on - much to the delight of Shayne's girlfriend FAYE McKEEVER.


Bad boy Fran recently split from NATASHA HAMILTON - mum to their son Josh.


He's also dated JODIE MARSH and Liberty X's KELLI YOUNG and was linked to Love Island co-star JAYNE MIDDLEMISS.
