WELSH wonders Richard Peachey and Samantha Elphick were last night hoping to set the charts alight after wowing the judges on The X Factor.
Millions watched as cute 18-year-old Richard and mum-of-two Samantha made it through to boot camp after impressing judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne on ITV1's hit show.
Richard, who is from the Rhondda Valley, was hoping for success with his two pals as he took part in a Beatles sing-along in the show's group section. But after Cowell told him to ditch his friends if he was ever going to make it in the music business, he made it through to the second round.
Success is also on the cards for Samantha who made it through with her version of Bryan Adams' Everything I Do. Judge Mrs O was impressed after Samantha brought her two kids into the audition room.
