X-FACTOR BOYBAND DUMPED
A BOYBAND that lied their way into the final 12 of X-Factor have been dumped by bosses for breaking show rules.
Avenue were axed after failing to declare they had a management deal before they auditioned.
Last month the Mirror revealed the band had been put together for the show by music mogul Ashley Tabor - knowing the exposure would help launch their career.
X-Factor judge Louis Walsh said: "It was a hard decision. The boys are talented but they broke the rules. They had to go."
Fellow judge Simon Cowell added: "They misled us. It wouldn't have been fair to allow them to deprive another act of a slot in the finals."
The boys - Johnny, Jamie, Max, Scott and Ross - had been told by Tabor not to mention they had a manager.
Meanwhile, worried Simon has been at the hospital bedside of his mum Julie, 80, who was knocked down in Brighton and suffered a broken hip.
But he said: "She's fine. She's strong as an ox."
