X Factor winner Steve Brookstein is playing to rows of empty seats on his latest tour.
The singer, 37, pulled in a TV audience of 10 million when he starred in the first series in 2004.
But this week he sold just 120 tickets for a gig in Worthing, West Sussex.
One onlooker said: “It’s almost like he’s starting from scratch again.”
After winning The X Factor, Steve secured a six-album deal with Simon Cowell and had a No.1 single and album.
But Cowell, 47, later dropped him and his latest album failed to make the top 40 this year.
Steve blamed the concert flop on advertising problems, adding: “Worthing was disastrous but other venues have been fantastic.”
