SHARON'S X RATED TARRANT AT CHRIS

He jokes: Your hubby's very articulate She yells: You c***, at least I'm married

SHARON Osbourne had a sensational bust-up with TV host Chris Tarrant in the middle of X-Factor last night -after he ridiculed rocker husband Ozzy.

She launched into a four-letter tirade at Chris as he sat in the audience, branding him "a c***".

Furious Sharon, 54, yelled at him during an ad break: "Don't you dare diss my f***ing family.

"How dare you say those f***ing things - at least I'm in a f***ing marriage."

The row erupted when celebrity audience members were invited to pose questions to the judges.

But the informal session turned nasty when newly-single Chris, 60, who recently split from his 51-year-old wife Ingrid, ridiculed Sharon's husband, Ozzy Osbourne.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? host Chris poked fun at the ex-Black Sabbath frontman's trademark slurred speech, telling Sharon "Your husband's very articulate, isn't he?"

Fuming Sharon hit back immediately - ridiculing Tarrant's recent love split and fiercely defending her husband.

An insider added: "Chris was clearly being rude about Ozzy and made a sarcastic comment.

"Sharon is notoriously protective of all her family and couldn't ignore a comment like that."

Sharon later refused to apologise to Tarrant, telling fellow X-Factor judge Simon Cowell: "Why should I? I don't even know him." But she agreed to make a public apology to audience members offended by her outburst.

Husband Ozzy has suffered from uncontrollable tremors throughout his life.

And his shuffling walk and slurred speech were caused by the over-prescription of medicine.

The insider added: "Tensions are running very high on the show.

"It seems Chris just said the wrong thing at the wrong time and had to face Sharon's wrath."

Meanwhile, thousands of TV viewers were left, frustrated last night when a crash in the mobile phone network Vodafone made it impossible for them to register votes on their favourite shows. Vodafone customers using 3G phones in London couldn't make calls or send text messages.

The problem made it impossible for people to vote for their favourite acts on X-Factor, Strictly Come Dancing and I'm a Celebrity..

A Vodafone spokesman confirmed the fault.

She said: "A problem did occur and people were unable to send texts or make calls. Engineers fixed the problem shortly after 9pm.""

Vodafone has 16 million customers in the UK, 3.7million of whom own a mobile phone. Sundaymirror

Unnecessary comment from Mr Tarrant there.

Never liked the smug-git - good on Sharon for not letting him away with his usual arrogant straight talking shite with her.

Its about time someone told the old trout a think or two. She has to be the most obnoxious woman ever to (dis)grace our screens.
