IT looked like the end of the road for Gareth Gates when he was dropped by Sony earlier this year - but the Pop Idol runner-up isn't through with the music biz just yet.
He's signed a massive new deal with Universal and we hear his new album will be out next April.
The 22-year-old, who's managed by pop guru Simon Fuller, says he's had loads of input on the new record. So fingers crossed there won't be any cheesy covers - we still haven't recovered from Unchained Melody!
