Leona Lewis is favourite to win next week's X Factor final, after Ben Mills was voted off on Saturday. The London receptionist, 21, will go head to head with student Ray Quinn to win the coveted ITV talent contest. "It's unbelievable," said Lewis, who is currently favourite to become the show's first female winner with odds of 1-6. Quinn, 18, has odds of 7-2 to win. "The only person we can compare Leona to is Kelly Clarkson, a true star," said William Hill's Rupert Adams. "Leona is by far the best X Factor contestant in three years of the show and we wouldn't dream of taking bets on her achieving at least five number ones in 2007." BBC |

LEONA: I'll have sex with Simon 13/12/06 SEXY X Factor finalist Leona Lewis has teased she’ll go to any lengths to win – including sleeping with Simon Cowell! The shapely TV beauty will be battling it out for the crown against Ray Quinn in Saturday night’s big final. It is shaping up to be the closest ever contest with both talented youngsters determined to grab the £1million record contract at stake. The dynamic duo have even saucily hinted that if they could win the title simply by bedding any of the judges – Simon, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh – they would consider it. Yesterday, when asked if they would sleep with the panelists to reach their goal, Leona blushed and giggled. The sexy 21-year-old – who performed a few songs to a rapturous ovation at London’s Hackney Empire on Monday night – was sitting next to record boss Simon. She batted her eyelids and smiled at the multi-millionaire pop guru. Meanwhile, cheeky Scouser Ray, 18, cuddled up to Ozzy’s wife Sharon and gave her a wink. Before they could say anything incriminating, X Factor boss Simon – clearly thrilled at the thought of snuggling up to stunning east Londoner Leona – butted in. He said: “They can’t answer that question. And anyway, Louis Walsh would lose out either way!” Simon, 47, let slip that this is the closest final he has ever faced in all his years on shows like Pop Idol. American Idol and X Factor. He said: “Saturday night is going to be very exciting. It’s as close as any contest I have ever been involved in. “Last weekend there were just 1,000 votes separating Leona and Ray. I can’t call it so it’ll be interesting.” Simon is grinning like a Cheshire Cat since both his acts have made it to the end of the contest. Sharon, 54, and Louis, whose acts have all been eliminated from the contest, say TV’s Mr Nasty has been “a nightmare” to be with because of his success. Sharon said: “He’s been incredibly annoying to be with.” And Louis, also 54, added: “He’s smug.” Asked if the finalists were worried that their pop careers might be short-lived, Leona said: “I’m just going to enjoy now. I can’t worry about that.” And Ray joked: “If this doesn’t work then I’ll consider everything – even panto.” He added: “A Christmas No 1 would be absolutely unbelievable.” Simon also refused to be drawn over whether he would sign up the runner-up when the show is over.
