A TECHNICAL hitch left thousands of angry X Factor fans unable to watch the show's nail-biting grand final last night.
A fault at Ntl: Telewest, the country's largest cable provider, left up to 35,000 homes across the country without TV and unable to vote.
Mum-of-two Helen Richards, 31, from Liverpool, said: "I'm so upset that I can't watch the final of X Factor.
"I've voted every week and now I can't hear Ray or Leona sing their hearts out. I'm absolutely gutted." The TV blackout was caused by a fault with a new recording drive. It left one per cent of the telecommunication giant's three million customers without TV.
