RAY QUINN is to go head-to-head in a chart battle with his X Factor rival BEN MILLS – after Ben landed a deal with Sony BMG.
X Factor runner-up Ray is due to release his album of swing songs on March 12, also through Sony BMG.
And now the label has signed a deal with long-haired rocker Ben to release his album — on the same date.
Reading between the lines, it’s obvious the label reckons a chart battle will boost sales of both albums.
Although, technically, only one can win, usually a bit of hype surrounding a battle means both artists shift more copies.
