For the first time in American Idol history a contestant went into labor while auditioning for the hit talent show.
Nine-months-pregnant Antoria Gillon was among 13,500 other hopefuls in Dallas waiting for their chance to audition when she began having contractions in line, according to People magazine.
She managed to sing through her pain and made it to the next round before being rushed to a local hospital.
Antoria gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Jamil Labarron "Idol" McCowan, on Tuesday.
The seventh season of American Idol begins in January 2008.
