A FAME Academy for classical music is planned by BBC2. Classical Star will see youngsters aged between 14 and 19 battle it out to win a recording contract. They will perform in front of experts, who will vote off weaker performers. Show boss John Silver said: “The kids are all virtuoso performers and will be judged on their musicianship. “We’re also looking for someone who can be a soloist and appear on the cover of CDs.” SunOnline |

Can't we just have the regular Fame Academy back. I much preferred it to either Pop idol or X factor. |
