STUDENT Diana Vickers is the new bookies’ favourite to win the X Factor after her show-stopping performance on Saturday.

The Lancashire 17-year-old’s odds were slashed from 5/1 to 11/4 after wowing viewers with Michael Jackson’s Man In The Mirror.

And if the public had been voting on Ruth's 'Purple Rain', there's no way she'd have been in the bottom two. Fantastic performance.

Ruth should definitely not have been in the last 2. I am pleased that she stayed.

I absolutely adore Diana. I think though she is like Simon said - you will either love her or hate her, so I don't think she will win, especially as the competition is very strong. I do hope that she gets a recording contract though, because she has a very unique voice and I think she could go far.

Someone has commented on that article that they wish they would do something with her hair as it looks a mess. Personally, I like her hair just the way it is, because it is her and it fits her image.

I hope she manages to overcome her nerves and I hope that Cheryl continues to choose the right songs for her.
