Those who lose out on his show usually exit with grace and a little gushing praise for their fellow contestants.

But Simon Cowell isn't so generous in defeat.

The music mogul found it impossible to hide his disgust when the X Factor lost out to Strictly Come Dancing at an awards ceremony on Wednesday night.
