We love seeing Diana Vickers do her raspy, floaty thing on The X Factor every week – but we might not get to see her tomorrow.
Diana was diagnosed with laryngitis yesterday, and is unsure if she’ll be well enough to sing on the live show. Eek.

That hand flicky thing drives me nuts and she's quite nasaly when she sings certain words so all in all imho it's no great loss!

:wave:

Me and the kids always look forward to Diana's performance more than any other.
Not because she is the best singer but because whyen she sings the word "you" she says it in a robotic way like Wall-E...isn't really weird :D

I thought we were the only ones who thought she wasn't brilliant. The first week me and Joe were cringing at her voice :eek:

Hello honey :) It's deffo the 'you' word that really gets on my nerves and the way she turns her had backwards and forwards in front of her face the whole time. Strange. ${

It'd be boring if we were all the same, though. She's quirky, no doubt about that.

Mind you, when they were choosing the final 12, I'd have dropped Diana in favour of Hannah, (the girl whom husband said sounded like Janis Joplin). But Diana is certainly individual.

I also think it's not a good idea when they are so young too. She's only 17 which is so young. I always remember hearing Helen Shapiro (walking back to happiness) at an event when she said being thrust into the limelight at such a young age (16) was terrible in the long run and she ended up with real problems to over come. However talented they might be I'm not sure they are ready to deal with the instant fame and more than likely being pulled apart by the media. (and me talking about the hand flicky thing haha)

I love Diana and am very disappointed that she is not well this week. Antibiotics deplete B vitamins, and B vitamins help your nerves, so it is possible that if she does perform she will be more nervous than usual, and without being able to practice, she could well mess up.

As Simon Cowell said, she is someone you will either love or hate.

I like her quirkiness and think with the right songs, she could go far (even if she does get knocked out of the competition tonight).

She is also Will Youngs favourite to win. He reckons that she has the whole package.

It looks as though Diana missed her masterclass with Mariah:-
