Cheryl Cole has been approached to appear on the front cover of fashion bible Vogue.

The shoot will mark the Girls Aloud singer's transformation from tracksuit-wearing wannabe to A-list star.

Victoria Beckham, 34, only made the cover of the magazine in March, 12 years after the Spice Girls shot to fame with their debut Number One, Wannabe.

Cole, 25, will front the famous magazine six years after, as an unknown, she auditioned for Popstars: The Rivals.
