More than 8000 angry X Factor have started an online petition to have Diana Vickers kicked off the show because they are so irritated by her feline gesticulations.

How stupid. You can't be kicked off the show for that reason!

I think what has happened, is that all the Laura fans are really cross that Laura has gone and are blaming Diana for it, as it was the week she missed. They are trying to find as many negative things to say about Diana as possible, because they blame her for Laura going.

I would think that most die-hard Diana fans would just have had a night off from voting that week, knowing that she would be there the following week.

If your favourite has been eliminated, then yes, you may want to change your support to someone else, but knowing that she hadn't been, I would think they just saved their money that week, so it shouldn't have had any effect on the outcome really.

Laura wouldn't have won anyway, so they should just accept that. She had a good voice, but lacked something. I never really got blown away by her performances. There didn't really seem to be anything 'special' about her. There are lots of people who can sing well, but to make it, you need to have that certain something about you to make you stand out from the rest and she didn't have that.
