A SPECTACULAR official reopening of a South Shields pub and restaurant has been cancelled.

The Trimmers Arms and Lobster Pot Restaurant in Commercial Road, South Shields, reopened under new management just before Christmas.

And an official relaunch night featuring X Factor contestant Rowetta had been planned for next month.

But now the show and other events have been cancelled after the pub closed its doors earlier this week.
