Russell Brand says it was Simon Cowell's fault he quit his BBC job.
The controversial comedian resigned from the BBC over Manuelgate, in which he and fellow funnyman Jonathan Ross hit the headlines after making a series of phone calls to the actor Andrew Sachs.
And Brand, 33, is adamant Cowell is to blame - because he's created a culture where viewers can vote people they don't like off the TV.
He says, "The X Factor has changed people's mentality.
"If you don't like someone on the telly these days, you feel you should have the right to vote them off."
Brand recently compared his sex addiction to having an eating disorder.
"It's similar to having an eating disorder," he said. "When you are eating too much you don't go and get treatment and stop eating completely."
