Rowetta - formerly of Happy Mondays and The X Factor - is caught up in a row with Cheryl Cole and has refused the '3 Words' star to let her use her vocals. Cole wants to sample Rowetta's song 'Be' when she performs live at the BRITs next week (16th February), but the singer has put her foot down - after it emerged they wanted to use another woman to mime her vocal part. An angry Rowetta told The Sun: "Her record company asked to use my sample but wanted an 'anonymous face'. I said I'm happy to perform but they don't want that. "Imagine if I wanted to sample Cheryl and got someone to mime her voice. That would never be allowed." AngryApe |
