Simon Cowell has just signed Ellis Watson, a former managing director at Trinity Mirror, to bring his hit singing competition The X Factor across the pond to the States. Mr Watson will be responsible for managing the expansion of Syco, Cowell’s production company, which will include the launch of The X Factor in 2011.
